Southern Snow

Originally uploaded by Decrepit Telephone
My Paternal Grandma lives in deep rural southeastern Georgia, on land that her family has lived on for at least a hundred years. Almost every year, we go up for Thanksgiving, and almost every time, there's cotton covering the fields, ready for picking. Getting there means driving through miles and miles of fields covered in the deep browns and the bright whites of cotton. It's like snow. Southern snow.

Happy Thanksgiving, everybody.
